I think is because the temperature of the sun is so hot too that in the South Pole and in the North Atlantic is cold so the temperatures stay in level

Because the sheer force of the gravity well the core and the rest of the planet produces as well as the immense force being acted upon it by the surrounding rock this prevents it from transitioning into a liquid.
