Hello!

The circular acting area of a classic Greek theatre is called the Orchestra.

This name is used today to refer to an instrumental ensemble, but in the classic Greek theatre, the term referred to the place where the actors performed. In the orchestra, a great variety of activities from art shows to civic and religious events were performed. It was located in the center of the open-sky theater and it was a place with a smooth and compact floor.
