Given: Temperature t = 16 ⁰C;  Specific heat of water c = 4.184 J/ g ⁰C

 Required:  Heat  q = ?     Mass m = 9 grams  Formula to follow  q = mcΔT

q =  (9 grams)(4.184 J/g ⁰C)(16 ⁰C) = 602.496 J
