x is -0.7 because if you distribute 3(x+2), you’ll get 3x+6. Subtract both sides by 6 and you’ll get 3x=-2.1. Finally divide both sides by 3 and you’ll get x= -0.7. If you want to make sure you can plug -0.7 into the equation. So it would be 3(-0.7+2). -0.7+2=1.3. Multiply it by 3 and you’ll get 3.90. Hope this helps.
