2x + 5y = 2
-3x - y =-3

-3x - y = -3
y = 3x - 3

substitute y = 3x - 3 into the first equation.

2x + 5y = 2
2x + 5(3x - 3) = 2
2x + 15x - 15 = 2
17x - 15 = 2

solve for x in 17x - 15 = 2

17x - 15 = 2
17x = 2 + 15
17x = 17
x = 1

substitute x = 1 into y = 3x - 3

y = 3x - 3
y = 3(1) - 3
y = 3 - 3
y = 0

(1, 0) << the answer

hope this helped, God bless!
