Axumite ruler was familiar with Greek writing. Axum is a dynamic member in long separation exchange with both the Roman Empire and India. Dating to the time when Axum first experienced Christianity, this segment, measuring some seventy-nine feet tall, likely filled in as a burial service landmark for the kingdom's old rulers
