The Plymouth Settlement or Colony, sometimes also called the New Plymouth was a discovered colony by Capt. John Smith, now the Plymouth, Masachussets. Since it was founded by Pilgrims or Puritans, it became an important settlement to American history due to its influence on religious beliefs such as Thanksgiving.
