We know that the opposite angles in the trapezoid are equal, hence, we have the following:
AB=CD
BC=AD

Solving for Y:
AB=CD

Perform transposition method and combine same term.
6Y-6=7Y-12
7Y-67 = -6 +12
Y=6

The value of Y is 6.
