Fraction is a part of a whole. So if there is 1 whole and you shared with 2 person the fraction will look like 1/2 which is also a half.

Okay so I used struggle too. I think it's always easier to think of fractions as a cake or pizza

So basically if It say I took 1/4 of pizza
I'm pizza terms in would mean there was 4 slices and I took 1 leaving 3/4.

If like I said there was 3/8 of pizza left there was originally 8 slices and only 3 left now
