To find the slope of the line that passes through the points (2,13) and (4,5) we can use our slope formula.

m = [tex]\frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{5 - 13}{4 - 2}[/tex]

5 - 13 = -8

4 - 2 = 2

Therefore, the slope of this line is[tex]\frac{-8}{2}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{-8}{2}[/tex] can be simplified to -4.
