The judicial branch checks the other branches of government by the fact that is able to say that things they have done are unconstitutional.
The Judicial Branch has checks on the other parts of the government as:-

(¡) It keeps an eye on the authoritarian laws made by the govt.
(¡¡) It protects the fundamental rights of an individual from the transgressional attitude of any govt.
(¡¡¡) It also controls the activities of the legislative and executive branches.
