synthetic division question

Why does the answer to [tex] \frac{x^3 +3x^2+11x+9}{x+1} [/tex] not have a fraction under it... [tex](x^2+2x+9)[/tex]
But [tex] \frac{2x^4-x^3-7x^2+7x+10}{x-2} [/tex] have a fraction? [tex]2x^3+3x^2-1x+5+ \frac{25}{x-2} [/tex]
