SOLUTION:

Eraser cost = 65 cents

Pencil cost = 20 cents

Total cost = 65 + 20

= 85 cents

85 cents to $1 (i.e. 100 cents) as a fraction written as:

Final answer:

85 cents to a dollar is $0.85
