The perimeter of a square is 35 cm. What is the measure of each side?

Remember that

The perimeter of a square is

P=4b

where

b is the length side of the square

In this problem

we have

P=35 cm

substitute

35=4b

solve for b

Divide by 4 on both sides

35/4=b

rewrite

b=8.75 cm

therefore

the measure of each side is 8.75 cm
