The radius of the cylinder is 5 m and the height is 0.5 m.

Then, the total surface area is

[tex]\begin{gathered} A=2\pi r(r+h) \\ =2\pi(5)(5+0.5) \\ =55\pi\text{ squared meter} \end{gathered}[/tex]

So, the surface area is

[tex]55\pi=172.79\text{ squared meter}[/tex]

Now, the volume is

[tex]\begin{gathered} V=\pi(r^2)h \\ =\pi(5)^2(0.5) \\ =39.27\text{ cubic meter} \end{gathered}[/tex]

So, the volume of the cylinder is 39.27 cubic meters.
