The initial velocity = vi = 6m/s

The final velocity = vf = 16 m/s

The total time = t = 20 seconds

The rate of change in velocity is called acceleration (a) that can be written as:

or

[tex]a\text{ = }\frac{vf-vi}{t}[/tex]

Put the values in the equation to get the value of 'a'.

[tex]a\text{ = }\frac{16\text{ - 6}}{20}[/tex][tex]a\text{ = }\frac{10}{20}[/tex]

or

[tex]a\text{ = }\frac{1}{2}[/tex]

hence, the value of a is 1/2.
