.25 cents (Quarter) and .05 cents (Nickle)

Explanation:

The trick to this is: "One of them is not a quarter!"  This does not mean that one of them is not a quarter.  The nickle is not a quarter, therefore, I would venture that a quarter and a nickle are the appropriate response.

Yet, is there is more information that was omitted from this math problem, it definitely needs to be reconsidered.
