Malcolm and Donalbain are the sons of King Duncan. After King Duncan is murdered (by Macbeth, although this is not known to them), the sons decide to flee Scotland. Malcolm goes to England and Donalbain goes to Ireland. The brothers flee the country because they believe that the person who killed the King might also be after them, and they want to be safe.
