The answer is (2x + 1) x (6x - 1)

Write 4x as a difference
12x*2 + 6x - 2x - 1

Factor out 6x (divide what you can by 6x)
6x (2x + 1) - 2x - 1

Factor out the negative
6x (2x + 1) - (2x + 1)

Factor (2x + 1) from the expression
