Answer:

density can be written as:

d = F / V  (weight density) or M / V (mass density)

Since F in the first equation can be written as

B = d V where B is the buoyant force and is proportional to the

weight of the liquid displaced

For a given volume the weight of the liquid displaced is proportional to the density and hence the buoyant force
