If the spinner lands on one event, and it affects the probability of the other. Then it will be dependent. If the spinner lands on one of it and it does NOT effect the other event then it will be independent.

Look at the options and decide whether the choices may effect the other. If there are no options, then choose DEPENDENT because more than likely either choice will effect the outcome.
