If Jalysa wanted to make 1 cake, she would have to use 3 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar. How many cups of flour and sugar would she use if she wanted to make 5 cakes?

1 cake uses 3 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar, so multiply the cups of sugar and flour times 5 (because that’s how many cakes we’re making) so a simple formula would be 5(3) to find the amount of flour we are going to use for the five cakes and 5(2) for the sugar.
Jalysa will use 15 cups of flour and 10 cups of sugar for five cakes. I hope this helps!
