7+4 = 11
220/11=20
20x7=140
20x4=80
140+80=220

So,

You have a total of 11 parts.

The trick in these types of ratio problems is to find the value of one unit.

So,
220/11 = 20

Each unit's value is equal to 20.

The larger number is 7 units.

Therefore, 20(7)
20(7) = 140
THE BIGGER NUMBER IS 140

P.S. To find the smaller number, all you have to do is subtract the bigger number from the totatl of the two numbers.

So
220 - 140 = 80

The smaller number is 80.
