Add 1.75 x to both sides
2.5x+6.35=5.35
Subtract 6.25 to both sides
2.5x=-1
Divide both sides by 2.5
x=-1/2.5
Simlify
x=-2/5

ANSWER: -4.68; you just move the 5.35 to both sides(adding) and tht gives you 0.75x+11.70=-1.75, after you get that subtract 0.75 to both sides and you end up with 11.70= -2.5x and then you just divide both sides by -2.5 and you get -4.68. :) I hope tht helped
