Exponential equation - objective: to make the bases of the 1st and 2nd members equal

24 = 3 · 2ˣ    let's move from 3 to the 1st member

24 ÷ 3 = 2ˣ

8 = 2ˣ     simplifying 8: 8 = 2³

2³ = 2ˣ    as the bases are the same, we work only with exponents

3 = X
