Substitute 1 into the equation.

2(1/1) + 3 * 1 = 5.

2(1) + 3 * 1 = 5.

2 + 3 * 1 = 5.

I also found out that any number greater than 1 makes the equation unbalanced, where the left side becomes greater than the right.

And as for negative numbers, they make the left side smaller than the right.

So the only solution is the integer 1.
