The formula for the area of a trapezoid with base lengths [tex]a[/tex] and [tex]b[/tex] and with a height of [tex]h[/tex] is:

[tex]A=\dfrac{1}{2}\times h\times(a+b)[/tex]

The height is 6 cm and the two base lengths are 4 cm and 6 cm

[tex]A=\dfrac{1}{2} \times 6 \times (4+6)[/tex]

[tex]=3\times10[/tex]

[tex]=30[/tex]

The trapezoid has an area of 30 square centimeters. Let me know if you need any clarifications, thanks!
