Answer:

A positive number refers to the distance of a value from the number zero. The difference is that the absolute value does not use negative numbers.

i.e.

x = |3|

the absolute value of |3| is 3

there is no such thing as a positive or negative when referring to absolute value. rather just distance on a number line.
