the impact on limiting individual rights can be large and small. citizens can feel trapped and want to rebel. limiting their rights makes them feel very unhappy. it also creates a distance between the citizens and the central government. there is an imbalance of trust between the two. there’s also an imbalance of power going too because the citizens give the government the right to govern them and they just limited their rights.
