Answer:

It depends on what war you are talking about. If you are speaking of the Civil War, Revolutionary War, WW2, WW1, or the French Revolution or wars like those then yes, I would say it is worth it. Other wars such as the Vietnam War and the Soviet-Afghan war were not worth it.  You have to look at the outcome of each war and see whether the outcome was worth the cost of the war.
