The HapMap project is
useful in diagnosing human disease because it provides information on genetic
variants which influence human’s physical traits, possibilities of acquiring
disease, and the body responses to environmental substances. This information
can be used to create new procedures in the prevention, diagnosis, and
treatment of diseases.
