Hi there, first we have to convert the mixed numbers into improper fractions, 6 1/3=19/3 and 4 2/3=14/3. Now we subtract 19/3 from 14/3. 19/3-14/3=5/3, 5/3=1 2/3, Therefore, 6 1/3 - 4 2/3 = 1 2/3
