Explain what happens to the pitch of a cell phone ring when the amplitude of a sound wave increases

The sound will be LOUDER. Amplitude is the distance from the resting line to the crest of the wave. The higher the amplitude, the more energy is in the wave, so the pitch will be louder.

"Pitch" is what we hear as a result of the sound's frequency.  The amplitude of the sound has no effect on it. They're not connected.
