A = h² - 2h

the area (A) of a triangle is

A = [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] × base × height

let height be h then base = 2h - 4 =2(h - 2)

A = [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] × 2(h - 2) × h

  = h(h- 2) = h² - 2h
