  • When sulfuric acid (h2so4) loses its hydrogen in exchange for calcium it becomes a CaSO4.

Chemical equation:

                     Ca (OH)2  +   H2SO4 ⇒ CaSO4 + 2H2O

Explantion:

  • When sulphoric acid reacts with calcium hydroxide, it give the two protons while calcium hydroxide  accept two proton resulting formation of CaSO4 and water.
