bearing in mind that a square has 4 equal sides, and the perimeter is the sum of all sides.

[tex] \bf (2x+1)+(2x+1)+(2x+1)+(2x+1)=28\implies 8x+4=28
\\\\\\
8x=24\implies x=\cfrac{24}{8}\implies x=3 [/tex]
