Hey there! :)

1) n + 5(n - 1) = 7

Simplify.

n + 5n - 5 = 7

Add 5 to both sides,

n + 5n - 5 + 5 = 7 + 5

Simlify.

n + 5n = 12

Simplify.

6n = 12

Divide both sides by 6.

6n ÷ 6 = 12 ÷ 6

Simplify.

n = 2

2) -4(r + 6) = -63

Simplify.

-4r - 24 = -63

Add 24 to both sides.

-4r - 24 + 24 = -63 + 24

Simplify.

-4r = -39

Divide both sides by -4.

-4r ÷ -4 = -39 ÷ -4

Simplify.

r = 39/4

~hope I helped~
